Welcome to Jiveswing! We are the UK’s friendliest Swing Dance club, with weekly classes, workshops and events throughout Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire and North London. We specialise in African -American dances such as Lindy Hop, Charleston, Tap & Vernacular Jazz plus other swing dances such as Shag & Balboa.
Learn to dance at one of our fun classes or experience the atmosphere of the 1940s Vintage Swing Dance setting at one of our social dance nights, for a great night out.

Classes
At JiveSwing there are classes taking place every week across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, and Middlesex (North London), in Lindy Hop, the original swing dance, and other swing dance styles. Classes are taught in a style that makes it fun, friendly and easy to learn. We run in 4-week progressive courses so come and give it a try!

Events
& Workshops
Jiveswing organises a range of monthly social dance nights and annual weekends, as well as get together meals, picnics, festivals, days out and vintage events.
We also offer JiveSwing workshops, which are highly specialised classes from absolute beginner to teacher level, usually lasting from 2 to 4 hours or in some cases a whole day or weekend. This allows us to provide focused learning on a range of specific topics, with a smaller group of dancers, enabling virtually one to one tuition in an unintimidating environment.

Jiveswing make sure to keep in mind the most influential swing dancers of all time, and participate in Frankie Month and Norma Week – to pay our respects to their moves and impact on the swing dance community.
